Cookies and similar storage keep Travise running and, with your consent, help us measure how the site performs. Essential cookies always run because the site cannot work without them. Non-essential cookies (analytics and marketing) are only set after you accept, or, if you are outside the regions that require opt-in, until you opt out. One choice covers both categories: there is no way to accept our analytics while refusing the Meta and Google cookies, so rejecting turns off every non-essential row below.
One thing worth saying plainly rather than leaving you to find it. Google's advertising script loads whether you accept or not, but declining keeps every advertising permission switched off: it sets no cookie, gets no scrambled version of your email, and receives nothing that identifies you. Meta's pixel does not load at all unless you accept. Our Privacy Policy sets out exactly what each one receives.

We also use a small amount of browser storage (localStorage and sessionStorage). The analytics keys (tv_vid, tv_sid, tv_q) follow the same consent rules as the tv_visitor cookie, and tv_consent is mirrored there so your choice survives cookie clearing. The rest are interface preferences that identify nothing: travise-read-mode (your reading-view choice), travise:disclaimer:* (which one-time notices you have dismissed), tv_readwait_pending (whether a read is still generating), and travise-entered (skips the entrance animation on repeat visits in a session). travise_support_token is written only if you send us a support message without an account, and it is what lets that one conversation reappear when you come back. It is strictly necessary for a conversation you started, so it is not gated on consent; clear it and you simply start a new thread. Only the strictly necessary cookies are treated as essential; every analytics and marketing cookie is set solely on your consent or, outside opt-in regions, until you opt out.
